When: Monday, March 29th, 2021 at 7 PM
Where: Check your email for the Zoom link to be circulated by the School of Communication
Who: The CMNSU AGM is open to all members of CMNSU*
What: In this meeting, CMNSU members will vote on the ratification of the recent election for the SFSS Council & Faculty Representative position. If the election results are not ratified, we will then hold a re-vote by using the Zoom polling feature. Below you can find the meeting agenda, an election briefing and the election results.
*Definition of CMNSU members according to the CMNSU constitution:
*1. Membership shall be automatically extended to:
a. All declared majors, minors, and honours in the School of Communication.
b. All students currently enrolled in at least one course offered by the School of Communication.”

Election Briefing
March 1: CMNSU announced the application opening for the SFSS Council & Faculty Representative. Candidates were allowed to begin campaigning once they received notice that their application had been received.
March 8: The application period ended.
March 13: CMNSU promoted the 3 candidates’ platforms via Instagram stories.
March 15: The virtual polls opened for voting via SFU Websurvey**.
**Please note that when the virtual polls opened, they were open to all SFU students until approximately 4 PM on March 15th. This was raised as an issue by CMNSU members by which the CMNSU changed the restraints of the Websurvey to allow only CMNSU members* the ability to vote thereafter.
