Careers in Communication 2023: Horizons

  • Segal Graduate School of Business 500 Granville Street Vancouver, BC, V6C 1W6 Canada (map)

Expand your skills, expand your network and reach beyond your horizons!

Are you ready to take your skills to the next level and explore new horizons in the field of communication? The SFU Communication Student Union invites you to join us for the ultimate career-boosting event of the year Careers in Communication 2023: Horizons!

This is your chance to shine and showcase your talents in our first ever in-person case competition. Teams of three to four people will work together to solve real-world communication challenges presented by industry professionals, with the winning team receiving sweet prizes yet to be announced! Not only that, but you'll also have the opportunity to broaden your understanding of the communication field and expand your horizons.

But, even if the case competition isn't your cup of tea, we also have a networking event that will be an opportunity to connect with industry professionals, learn more about potential career paths and gain valuable insights from professionals in various fields of communication. This event will provide a chance for you to explore the different fields of communication, meet professionals and gain knowledge about the industry.

This is a not-to-miss opportunity to take your skills to new heights, expand your horizons and jumpstart your career!

Note: The case competition and networking are two separate events occurring at the same time. It’s your choice to decide whether you want to challenge yourself at the case competition or meet new people at the networking event.

Please note:

We reserve the right to refuse entry or to ask participants to leave the premises if participants fail to adhere to SFSS and SFU conduct policies. We want a positive and welcoming environment to ensure all students, alums, and guests can network and bond.

We would like to remind our attendees that this event will be photographed for promotional and archival purposes. By registering for this event, you also consent to receive email updates and news about this event. So keep an eye out for any important emails from the CMNSU team.
